I spoke with Valley nutritionist, Judy Nicassio at Rejuvena Health and Aesthetics who shared some tips to avoiding bloating in your swimsuit.
If it’s true what they say, “Abs are made in the kitchen” and you want to look your best before heading to a pool party, what do you eat before slipping into your swimsuit?
Here’s what not to eat:
- processed foods that are high in sodium
- some fruits such as apples
- heavy carbs like bread
- avoid all sugar … sweets … of course my favorite 😦
Tip 1: Judy’s biggest tip is to chew your food 25 times before swallowing to help digestion and avoid the bloat.
Tip 2: She said to bring some lemon water or ginger tea to your next pool party. Sorry ladies, no piña colada’s.
