Hi Everyone!

My name is Caitlin Lee Slater and I am a visionary of well-being and hard work. I believe in kindness and having a good attitude every single day. I’m a charismatic red-head who has a plethora of passions including blogging! As I’ve gotten older I have found that I believe true beauty radiates from within and uniqueness should be celebrated. Someone once told me the greatest gift you can give someone is your time, and I always try to abide by that. I was inspired by Mrs. Fields…yes the cookie lady, to treat everyone as if they are the most important person in the world. #YouMatter is the hashtag I started because of this.

Similar to so many other college students, I am still trying to figure out who I am and what my calling is. Let me tell you, this journey is a whirlwind. One thing I know for sure is that I love to blog! I started this blog in October of 2014, and in May of 2015 I adopted the name Sweet Pea. I hope something you see or read will touch your heart. I hope to inspire you to be your best self through a spark of inspiration, enhancement of physical fitness, embracing your unique beauty, and faith driven decision-making.

I am a Broadcast Journalism student at Azusa Pacific University, in the greater Los Angeles area. However, I was born and raised in the “dry heat” of Arizona! My heart will never lose its warmth that my favorite state gave me. My dream is to anchor for a local news station in my home town of Phoenix.
