Easter Sunday is just a few days away and I am so excited you guys, I already have my outfit picked out!

I feel so blessed to be so close to home and I am planning on spending the weekend with my family. And the weather right now in Phoenix is absolutely perfect this time of the year. But no matter where you are or who you spend this weekend with, I wish you much joy and love in whatever fashion that may be. (;

Growing up, I always looked forward to picking out a pretty Easter dress to wear to church. But, I’m telling you straight from the heart that Easter is so much more than just a holiday with an Easter bunny, egg hunts or picking out pretty dresses. This is such an important holiday for everyone to understand the true meaning of.

Easter is a celebration of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.

It sounds crazy, but it’s true!

Jesus, is the Son of God and He came to earth, lived a perfect life and then died for our sins.

Mark 2:17 says, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

And although Jesus sacrificed it all for us on the cross, He gives us the chance to have a personal relationship with Him and enjoy eternal life in Heaven with Him.

This verse explains it perfectly:

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

God’s perfect love for you and for me was played out through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ!

I’d like to invite you and encourage you to go to church this weekend to learn more about the true meaning of Easter. If you live in the Yuma area visit Vertical Church on Easter Sunday, April 1 at 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., or 1 p.m.

If you are in the Phoenix/Tempe/Gilbert area come with me to Cornerstone!

The times are Saturday, March 31st – 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m. or Sunday, April 1st – 7:45 a.m., 9:05 a.m., 10:35 a.m., 11:55 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.

Happy Easter!

Peace, Joy and Love Always,

Caitlin
